The heart of the Cobweb Foundation and the driving force behind it’s success so far, is a group of people with differing but complementary talents. All are committed to ensuring the success of the Cobweb Foundation, which began with the building of the Parkhead Project cottages twelve years ago. 

These were founded as a result of the personal experience of the Directors and as a consequence we are able to bring first hand knowledge and experience to all of our activities. it was established with the intention to provide holidays for families in which a member of the family was either chronically sick or disabled. 

Over the last 10 years we have provided holidays for many families who because of circumstances have been unable to enjoy a family holiday for many years.

All of the staff, volunteers and management committee have first hand experience of the problems faced by disabled people.  

So what next?

Our purpose now is to provide a purpose built holiday, training and therapy centre, a place where a family can holiday together as a whole, and enjoy themselves, safe in the knowledge that they can use all, or any of the village facilities, whatever their abilities - the physical creation of our Holiday Village and it’s related projects remains one of our prime goals.
